Jonh Tallach High School History & Background
John Tallach High School is a mission boarding school run by the Presbyterian Church. The mixed school is located in Ingwenya, a rural community 40 km outside Bulawayo. The school was opened in 1958 and is named after Rev John Tallach (1890–1955) a 20th century Free Presbyterian minister in Scotland who chose to do missionary work in Zimbabwe and once stayed at Ingwenya.
The school had O Level classes up until 2013 when it had its first A level class taking exams.

This was no fluke. In 2013 the school had a 96.15%  ‘O’ level pass rate coming top in Matabeleland and taking 4th place nationally.
A 92.96% pass rate was attained at O-Level in the 2015 exams.
